WHAT’S IN THE DNA OF THE URUS?
The Urus is the dark horse (or should that be bull?) in Lamborghini’s fleet of fame. For the first time in a very long time the Italian supercar manufacturers wanted to create a vehicle with a bit more day-to-day functionality and mass appeal. The result is what Lamborghini claims to be “the first Super Sport Utility Vehicle in the world.” This is an SUV that can turns heads on the track and in the desert.
PERFORMANCE
No one was expecting the Urus to surpass the nimble Huracan or Aventador in terms of speed. After all, this SUV does weigh a whopping 2.2 tonnes. Yet, it’s surprising just how agile it is. How many other SUVs do you know of that can break 0-60 in 3.6 seconds! The Urus is quite simply a masterclass in auto engineering. Its twin-turbo V8 engine packs 641 bhp and is capable of reaching a max speed of 185 mph. Even better, this is super sports car that tackles any terrain, whether it be race track, ice, sand, or gravel, with style and finesse.
EXTERIOR
This is that rare beast, an elegant super sports car that’s not afraid to get dirty. Lamborghini has expertly created an SUV that fits into any context, on-road or off. While the Urus is unlike any other Lamborghini out there, in sheer size alone, it still is quintessentially a Lambo. With its Y-shaped and hexagonal details, you’d recognise it a mile off.
INTERIOR
Truth be told, Lamborghinis have always been a bit of a tight fit to squeeze into, especially if you’re on the taller side. That’s no longer the case with the Urus, which has room to spare. The Urus maintains Lamborghini’s panache for luxurious interiors. As well as the upholstery that blends refined elegance with a twist of fun sportiness, the central console is fitted with three TFT interactive screens, making for an engaging, personalised drive quite unlike any other SUV.
